Prior to Marquette: Jones was a four year letter winner in volleyball at Edgewater High School. Serving as team captain in 2007, Jones led Edgewater to the regional semifinals for the state tournament. She was selected as a member of the All-Metro First Team. Jones recorded 297 kills, 136 digs and 55 blocks as a senior and 286 kills, 71 digs, and 35 blocks as a junior. Personal: Jones was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on July 13, 1989 to Aaron and Jan Jones. Jones has two brothers, Aaron III and Michael. Jones' father played football at Eastern Kentucky and played nine years in the NFL. Her brother, Aaron III, was a high school All-America football player at Edgewater before playing at Florida State and Eastern Kentucky. Jones intends to major in broadcasting. |
