2007 (Freshman): Gonyo, in her first collegiate season, was one of four players to see action in all 101 games, starting 24. She finished second on the team in total blocks with 94, including 10 solo blocks for an average of average of 0.93 blocks per game. Gonyo registered 170 kills on the season, averaging 1.68. Against Oakland (Sept. 1) she recorded a season-high 16 kills. Gonyo placed fourth on the team in total attacks, recording 463 while tallying double-digit attacks in 24 matches. She logged a season-high with 32 attacks against South Dakota State (Nov. 24) and registered a career-high attack percentage of 45.0 against Maine (Nov. 23). Gonyo accounted for 50 total digs on the season and had a season-high six digs versus Tennessee (Sept. 8).

Prior to Marquette: Gonyo played four years as an outside hitter at Grant Community High School. As a sophomore she was named most improved. Gonyo has been a member of the Kaepa Wisconsin Junior club team where she is a known leader and has served as team captain.

Personal: Gonyo was born on November 11, 1988 and is the daughter of Gordon and Karen Gonyo. She has two sisters-Karissa and Jacquelynn. She is an economics major.
