The win helps Marquette stay even, 13-13, on the season and move on to play St. John's for fifth place Sunday at 9 a.m. on the P.E. Courts.

For the second consecutive season, the Marquette women's tennis team earned the No. 4 seed at the BIG EAST Conference Tournament to take place April 17-20 at the Varsity Tennis Courts in Tampa, Fla. It was announced Monday by conference officials. Notre Dame earned the No. 1 seed, while Louisville earned the No. 2 seed followed by host USF as the No. 3 seed.

No. 16 Notre Dame proved to be too much for the Marquette women's tennis team this morning as the Fighting Irish downed the Golden Eagles, 7-0, at Eck Tennis Center. Marquette moves to 12-12 overall, 7-2 in BIG EAST play heading into the conference tournament, while the Fighting Irish improve to 18-8 overall and remain undefeated, 3-0, in BIG EAST play.
