Prior to Marquette:Earned four letters in women's soccer at Pewaukee High School...Captained the squad as a senior...Was a first-team All-State honoree in 2005...Also an all-conference selection in 2004 & 2005...Helped guide her team to the 2004 conference championship, en route to breaking Pewaukee's school shutout record...Played her club soccer with FC Milwaukee, which has captured five of the last seven Wisconsin State Cups, along with fellow MU newcomers Brittany Bares, Katie Miller, Anna Sawicki, and Allison DeGroot.

Personal: Katherine Emily Sternke was born Oct. 22, 1987...She is the daughter of Craig and JoAnne Sternke...Has two brothers, Christian and Matthew...Both her mother and grandfather are Marquette alums.
