2002: While Dalecky may have added to her offensive arsenal in 2002, it was her defense which gained her the most recognition. Dalecky was a first-team All-Conference USA selection last season as well as being selected second team All-Great Lakes Region by the NSCAA and Soccer Buzz magazine. For the second straight year she was Marquette's most trusted defender, serving as sweeper. She did get involved in the offense in her senior year as required. She was Marquette's penalty kick specialist, converting on all three of her attempts for the year. She scored marks against top ranked North Carolina (Sept. 20), Charlotte (Oct. 11) and Saint Louis (Nov. 6). Her goal against SLU was the match winner in the C-USA quarterfinals. She was afforded the PK opportunity after Kate Gordon was fouled in the penalty area. Dalecky shared MVP honors in 2002 with Kate Gordon.
2001: Dalecky became almost a completely defensive minded player in her junior year, which proved to be worthy. By concentrating her skills almost heavily toward the back line, Dalecky keyed Marquette to just 15 goals allowed in the 22 matches. The 15 goals allowed was the second lowest season total for Marquette in a season. For her efforts, she was named Conference USA Co-Defensive Player of the Year, along with Cincinnati goalkeeper, Christy Hoffman. Dalecky was also a first-team All-C-USA selection, a third-team All-Great Lakes Region by the NSCAA, a first-team All-Great Lakes Region selection by Soccer Buzz and an honorable mention All-American by Soccer Buzz. Dalecky was involved in the Marquette offense when necessary, recording 12 shots on the year.
2000: A valuable defender off the bench, Dalecky saw action in 23 matches. She launched 24 shots on the year and had one goal to her credit. That score was important as she tied the match in the NCAA First Round against Wright State (Nov. 8). She recorded one assist as a part of Carolyn Klopp's game-winner against BYU (Sept. 22).
1999: Dalecky proved a steady defender who played sweeper, stopper or center midfielder, appearing in 20 matches. She made her collegiate debut against Evansville (Sept. 3).
At Wauwatosa East: At Tosa East, Dalecky was the Red Raiders' co-captain as a senior, when she was named Co-MVP after helping lead her team to second place in the state. The Red Raiders also finished as state runners-up during her junior year after earning state titles in 1996 and 1997. She was also a member of State Line All-Tournament Team as a sophomore. Dalecky was named to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel All-Area Team and was all-state as a junior and senior. She was all-conference first team following each of her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. A member of the Wisconsin ODP team for five years, Dalecky was also on the Red Raiders' volleyball team MVP and co-captain as a senior. She earned four letters in soccer, three in volleyball and earned an academic letter as she graduated with honors.
Personal: Born August 29, 1981, Dalecky is the daughter of Paul and Judy Dalecky; she has an older sister, is a Marquette alum, and a younger brother. Her uncle, Jim Smith, was captain of the Wisconsin basketball team and her grandfather, Carroll, and another uncle also played collegiate basketball at Wis.-Whitewater. She is a marketing major.
