2004: Connelly became one of three sophomores in the school's history to lead the team in scoring. She is in very good company as Kate Gordon (2000) and Kelly Roethe (1997) both previously achieved the feat. Connelly's six goals came at opportune times as four of her goals were game winners. Connelly scored the game winner at Charlotte (Oct. 1), against Cincinnati (Oct. 8), against Houston (Oct. 17) and in the C-USA Tournament versus Charlotte (Nov. 3). On two occassions (vs. Central Michigan, Sept. 3 and vs. Cincinnati, Oct. 8), Connelly scored a goal and added an assist. Connelly started every match of the season and was named to the third team All C-USA for her play. 2003: Connelly stepped in as a freshman and earned a significant amount of playing time. She played in all 20 matches and started a pair. She earned starting nods against USC (Sept. 5) and Oakland (Sept. 7), totalling three shots in those contests. She scored her first career point against Wis.-Green Bay (Sept. 16) earning an assist. She added the match-winning tally against Saint Louis (Oct. 26) to round out her scoring for the season. At Lakota West: Connelly was a midfielder and forward at Lakota West High School. Prior to Lakota West, she went to Nashua High School in Nashua, N.H., where she lettered in soccer as a freshman and sophomore. She was named an All- American in 2002 and was also an All-Region selection, an All-State honoree and an All-Conference selection. She was the runner-up for the state Player-of-the-Year, was named Player-of-the-Year for the Cincinnati area and was Player-of-the-Year for her conference. A career 55 goal, 42 assist performer, she was team MVP for two seasons. Her club team, the Ohio Premier club, won two state titles and was a region finalist in 2000. Connelly was also competitive in track, winning the state title in 2000 as part of the 4x800 meter relay team and she was a state finalist in the 600 meters in 2000 and 2001. In club in 2004, she played for the U19 Eclipse from Chicago, which placed third at nationals. She was also a member of the U23 Eclipse Cobras which were national finalists and 2004 amateur national champions. Personal: Connelly was born on May 12, 1985, in Madison, Wis.
