Jesse Rosen is in his second season at Marquette as an assistant coach. Rosen comes to Marquette after years of collegiate success at the University of Hartford and a professional playing career.

"Jesse is a good coach. He's very insightful into the nuances of the game. He's going to give us a great base of knowledge into local club and regional play. He adds another layer of expertise to our coaching staff," Bennett said.

Rosen is a well-rounded member of the coaching staff, assisting with the direction of the forwards and midfielders. In addition, Rosen is responsible for all video aspects of Marquette soccer, including game and practice filming and tape exchange.

Rosen has been coaching for the past seven years with the FC Milwaukee Nationals soccer club. He has guided the team to six state championships and three Midwest Regional Championship semifinals appearances. The program has produced a number of collegiate soccer players including current members of the Marquette women's team: Allison McBride and Michelle Compty.

Playing at Hartford, Rosen was a four-year letter winner, leading the Hawks to a school-record 17 win season, the 1996 America East title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament, where they advanced to the national quarterfinal rounds. The Hawks were ranked as high as 10th that season.

Following his playing days at Hartford, Rosen played professionally for the Mississippi Beach Kings of the Eastern Indoor Soccer League. He also played for the Milwaukee Wave from 1998 to 2000, serving on the Wave reserves when they won the league title.

Rosen holds a USSF Class B License, as well as a K.N.V.B. Coaching Certificate (Dutch Federation Residential Coaching School). He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Hartford.
