PINEHURST, N.C. - Sophomore Mike Van Sickle finished in a tie for seventh at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, N.C. The top 10 finish was the sixth in a row for Van Sickle, who had won his last three starts.

As a team, Marquette finished in a tie for 10th, shooting 44-over, 908. Indiana won the event with a 16-over, 880. Indiana also had the individual medalist. Jorge Campos won the title with a three-under, 213.

Van Sickle was MU's highest finisher four the fourth straight event. He carded a 73 in the final round to finish at three-over, 219. Van Sickle was one of five golfers ranked nationally by Golfstat to participate in the event.

Junior Ted Gray finished 29th with a 10-over, 226. Sophomore Dustin Schwab came in 54th place with a 16-over, 232. Junior Mike Bielawski placed 68th at 18-over, 234. Freshman Ben Sieg placed 90th with a 29-over, 245.

The Golden Eagles return to action on April 6-7 with their last regular season event, the Marshall Invitational.
