2006-07 (Freshman) -- Sieg played in nine events as a freshman, recording a 76.08 scoring average. He made a mark for himself, posting a victory in the BIG EAST/MAC Challenge, the final event of the fall, where he shot a season best 209, recording a season-best 69 in the final round. He started his season off with a 222 at The McLaughlin, where he made his collegiate debut. Sieg played in all six events in the fall, recording a 74 at the Mission Inn, his best round of the spring. He carded a 231 at the USF Invitational for his best 54-hole total in the spring.

Prior to Marquette -- A two-time all-state selection, Sieg was a four-year letterwinner at Osseo-Fairchild High School. Sieg was a four-year first-team all-conference selection, earning all-state honors as a junior (first team) and a senior (second team). He was also his conference's player of the year as a sophomore, junior and a senior. Sieg won the state individual medalist honors as a sophomore and led his team to state titles as a freshman, sophomore and senior and a runner-up spot as a junior. Sieg also was a basketball player at Osseo, lettering as a junior and a senior. He was an all-conference player as a senior.

Personal -- Benjamin Jon Sieg was born March 28, 1998, in Eau Claire, Wis. He is the son of Dan and Carla Sieg. He has a younger brother, Matt. He is majoring in business administration.
