Prior to Marquette - Kelly Kretz was a four-year letterwinner at Antigo High School in Antigo, Wis., where he was appointed captain his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He was selected as all-conference all four years and in 2005 he was selected as an American Junior Golf Association All-American. Kretz broke his school record for one round three times; with a score of 70 his sophomore season and scores of 69 and then 66 his senior year. In 2005, he won the American Junior Golf Association Buick Invitational.
