![]() Marquette Track & Field Continues Outdoor Season This Weekend
March 28, 2008
MILWAUKEE - Live results are available for the Missouri Relays in Columbia, Mo., where the Marquette University track and field program is competing today and Saturday, as the Golden Eagles look to continue their success this outdoor season. "Practice has been pretty good this week," said MU head coach Bert Rogers. "Obviously, returning from our meet at Arizona State last week was a little bit of a change because of the weather. We weren't able to get on the track Monday and Tuesday due to the snow. Our first day back outside was Wednesday, but we were still able to do our regular indoor routine and I expect us to perform pretty well this weekend." This weekend's event is the ninth annual and includes over 1,600 student-athletes from the high school, collegiate and professional ranks. NCAA Division I participants include Kansas, Iowa State, UMKC, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Drake and Missouri State. "We're looking for a well-rounded effort," Rogers. "We had such an exceptional first (outdoor) meet. I still expect to have some good performances. Our goal is to improve every week up to the BIG EAST Championships, which is our ultimate goal."
